Prescription Policy for Durable Medical Equipment DME Respitory

According to the FDA, some Durable Medical Equipment (DME) items are considered medical devices and cannot be distributed until a valid prescription has been obtained. This covers items like oxygen concentrators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and some fully constructed systems of some specific makes and models. Please read our policy carefully To guarantee a seamless ordering experience and avoid any potential problems with ordering.
Prescription Requirement
The subsequent products require a prescription to be filed before they can be shipped to any address in the United States:
- Therapy Devices: CPAP machines, BiPAP machines, Oxygen Concentrators
- Complete/Assembled Masks: BiPAP or CPAP masks that are fully built
- Humidifiers: Heated CPAP or BiPAP humidifiers are the examples.
- Provent Sleep Therapy: CPAP alternative therapy with nasal pads.
- Night Shift Devices:Devices for Positional Therapy to Treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea at Night.
You can still place an order even if you don’t have a prescription on hand. Please be aware, though, your products will not ship that until we have your prescription on file.
Items That Do Not Require a Prescription
The following products are available for purchase without a prescription:
- Mask Parts: Cushions, headpieces, clips, and other accessories are parts of the mask.
- Machine Parts: Filters, water chambers, tubing, and additional accessories are machine parts.
- Comfort Items: Tubes protectors such as stretch tube covers, and lotion, comfort pads etc.

The answer is no! A legitimate prescription for a CPAP or BiPAP equipment usually covers the cost of related accessories like masks, humidifiers, and machine parts. There is no need for a new prescription for replacement parts.
